Discover Calgary through the game that helped shape it.
Icons Classic on Ice is much more than a curling lesson. This immersive two-hour experience blends Calgary storytelling, curling history and hands-on play at one of the city’s local curling clubs.
Your host begins with the stories behind Calgary and the sport before you head onto the ice. After a warm-up and safety orientation, you’ll learn the essentials — how to deliver a rock, sweep, communicate and strategize — with friendly instruction designed for complete beginners.
Then it’s game time. Put your new skills to work in a lively mini-game before finishing with the Icons on Ice Honorary Curler tradition — brooms raised, oath taken and a photo to remember your uniquely Canadian experience.
No curling experience required. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to give it a try.
