Wondering where you start, end, or which route you’ll be following?

END:
When you reach the end point, you will be met by the friendly Lazy Day crew at the edge of the river at our endpoint near the Bow River Pathway Bridge that links Memorial Drive to Prince’s Island Park (click for Google map)
PARKING:
Free parking is available at both West Baker Park and at the downtown Lazy Day shop located in the rear of the Calgary Curling Club (720 3 St NW) (click for Google map). Kindly note that you must obtain a free pass from at the Lazy Day shop when parking at the downtown location.
Parking and where to go
If you’re wondering how it works, it’s easy! You have a few options depending on what works best for you:
Option 1: Are you taking our pre-float shuttle?
When our convenient pre-float shuttle is operational in July and August, many floaters choose to leave a vehicle at the end point (our downtown shop) and take our shuttle to the launch point. Seats should be booked online ahead of time as they typically sell out. (click for Google map).
Option 2: Do you want to drop a vehicle downtown and take an Uber/2nd vehicle to the start?
Floaters can park a vehicle at the end point (our downtown shop) and take an Uber or second vehicle to the launch point.(click for Google map).
Options 1 and 2 please note: parking at our downtown location is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis and fills up on busy days. If our lot is full, City parking lot 59 is adjacent to our shop.
Option 3: Head directly to West Baker Park and take an Uber back to the starting point after your float.
Floaters can park at the launch point at West Baker Park boat ramp where there is plenty of free parking. Upon completion of your float, an Uber can return you to your starting point. (click for Google map)
Getting excited?
Don’t just take our word for it! Let our guests tell you how fun #FloatingTheBow with Lazy Day will be:
Raft Durability
After almost 20 years of full-service raft rental in Calgary, we have custom designed our rafts specifically for Lazy Day guests to ensure maximum durability and comfort while you enjoy your day on the water. All 2, 4 and 6-person rafts are rated for a minimum of Class Three whitewater (good thing the Bow is a lazy Class One). The 8, 10, and 12-person rafts are built for Class 5 whitewater (with enough room to dance a jig with Aunt Sally as you #FloatTheBow). All rafts have multiple sealed chambers to guard against any unfortunate incidents to keep all our guests safe and lazy while floating the Bow river.
